South Africa 2007
October 25, 2007
My time is almost up in Africa. So that means working a little harder to get the
Book of Hope to the kids and to pour Gods love in their life. We are traveling
more than ever. The team had a little time off at a Game Park. It was a great
time just to drive around and watch hippos, cheetahs, impalas, ect. Just grazing
around. The village people certified the team as Africans. We had to find a
chicken and kill it. Ya. It was so Cool!!!! The village didn’t have a great
source of produce food from the near by towns (which were six hours away) so we
had to find are own food some times, and that was a trip. So we found what the
people called “The chicken man” he would give us two chickens for 60 rand
(8 dollars in U.S. money) and he would only sell them to us at a certain time
and
at a certain place. Which happened to be a 10 at night somewhere in the bush. It
was really weird. Finding an African at night is not easy. So after a half hour
of walking around in the dark he would pop out of no where with two chickens. We
gave him the money he gave us the chicken and then he just disappeared in to the
bush. I don’t now a drug deal goes down but I’m pretty sure that it was somewhat
like what we went through. To make a long story short. The next day me and
another guy on the team (Scott) went in the back of the house like thing that we
were staying at to kill these two chickens. So we open the box that they were in
and one jumped out and ran away. The second one jumped up but I got it by the
neck before it got away. So now we only have one chicken. So we get a wooden
board then seat the chicken’s neck on the board grab the axe and well you get
the idea. And I tell you what it was a mighty good chicken.
My team has traveled through Swaziland, to the border of Mozambique, to the
border of Zimbabwe, to a city called Pretoria, to the border of Botswana, to
Lesotho, and then to and city called Portrastroom all with in a week in a half.
So we are staying on are feet.
Prayer Request-
Abby- is one of the girls on my team and she has come down with a bad illness.
She’s all stuff up and running a high fever. So pray that she recovers quickly.
Sean (me)- I sprained my ankle to a point were the doctors say that I need to
stay off it for Six weeks. And me being stubborn am refusing to lie down while
there are schools to go to. So pray that I heal quickly.
The Team- that our attitudes stay right. That we are looking to God in every
thing we do and just that we but Him first in everything we do. Because were
Hear for God not for are own pleasure.
Thank you for your support and prayers God bless.

October 13, 2007 I have
been traveling all around Africa. I'm in the middle of nowhere. The nearest
bank is 3 hours away, the nearest store is about 1 hour away so things get a
little tight up
here, but I love it. I've been traveling allot. I've been to Swaziland about
four times.. I've even snuck over the border to see if I could get away with
it. Ya, that was amazing but not recommended. =) God has opened doors for the
team. We, as of right now are staying in a little village called INGWAVUMA,
just south of Swaziland. The team will stay there for about a week then we head
off to
where ever God wants us. i would sent you more pictures but that would take a
long time. the internet isn't great over here. but I’ll do what I can. The
people
on my team are from all over the united states. There are seven of us.
Me, Scott, Amy, Abby, Britney, Dinally, Liz, I’ll keep in touch as much as i
can.
please keep praying for me and the team.

I Landed in South Africa on the 3rd of September and
headed north to a place two hour's from Pretoria, which is Just under Zimbabwe.
I stayed in a small Hut like building for two weeks. There I got a chance to
wake up and see wild animals running around right out side my door while
spending my time with God. Its truly breath taking. While out there the team and
I got caught up on what's going on in South Africa and planning are four mouth
adventure. After all the training and Coursing out are trip we started are Ten
hour road trip down, through Swaziland to a village right out side of the
Swaziland. I'm mean right off the border. We drove up the massive mountain and
through the bush to find this place. The view that this village wakes up to is
just wow. Every morning it’s like the clouds are opening up and showing the way
to Heaven and at night it’s like I can touch the stars. We just stared to go
into the schools, and I’ve been in a men’s prison and what God did there was
just awesome! God really work in the men of that prison. We did Skits and I
Spoke to them on how they are valuable even after what they did and how God can
switch around their life if only they believed. To see the turn around in the
men’s life was amazing. They’re starting a men’s group in side the Prison. I'm
mean in PRISON!!! We’ve only been in ministry for a few days, and God is Already
Doing outstanding things. Please keep lifting me and the team in your prayers
and the ministry that God has put us in (BOOK OF HOPE). That the Books we’re
giving out would impact the lives of those that receive the book.
